E very
product made from Bethlehem Holy Land Olive Wood goes
through a very accurate process, such as:
-
The best raw materials are chosen to avoid the raw
imperfections in the wood.
-
After the finest pieces of wood are selected, they are
seasoned for several years.
-
We
only use the heart wood, to produce objects that are rare and
treasured for their beauty.
-
Professional artisans work with the manual lathe, as in the
old days, so each piece is handmade.
Here
are some interesting aspects of our products:
-
The shape of the wood doesn't change because of its hardness
and its resistance.
-
This wood has a natural perfume and a feeling of warmth.
-
The charming appearance of the products is never the same
and the objects look similar to a colorful game.
-
It
is very difficult to match the grain of two pieces since the
pattern is completely hidden in the heart of the wood.
As it ages, it will become darker and richer
in color thus making it even more beautiful.

Olive branch to someone special!
|
S ince the days of Noah, the
olive branch has been a symbol of peace and goodwill.
This
Pen Box was fashioned from a Natural Olive Branch that was taken
from a Bethlehem Holy Land Olive Tree. The olive tree is
considered to be the Holiest tree in the Holy Land and in the city
of Bethlehem the olive trees are also called Roman trees. They got
their Roman name because they have been living in Bethlehem and
bearing fruits since the time of Jesus and the Romans.

I n
the October of every year Bethlehem
Holy Land olive
tree farmers prune their olive trees which is an essential process
for a healthier growth for the trees and to generate
environmental stability.
This olive branch was produced
from the pruning.
No Tree was damaged
or destroyed in the process
of harvesting this Branch.

His branches shall
spread, and His beauty shall be as the olive tree"...(Hosea 14:6)

"But I am like a green olive
tree in the house of God. I
trust in the steadfast love
of God forever and ever."
Psalm 52:8
T he
olive tree is native to the
Holy Land where it has
been cultivated since
ancient times. It
has been a source of
admiration and inspiration
throughout the history of
humanity.
According to historians, the
first olive groves took root
in the Holy Land and along
the coast of the eastern
Mediterranean around 4,000
B.C.
T he
olive tree is a slow growing
tree which fills during the
first 7 years of it's life.
It is especially productive
thought-out her life.
Growing to heights ranging
from 10 to 40 feet (3 to 12
meters),
R eaching
the age of 200 the trunk
disappears, shoots develop
at the base of the trunk
which eventually grow into a
new tree, hence the
reputation as the immortal
tree.
B etween
April and June a multitude
of small,
white perfumed flowers
appear in groups under the
preceding year's leaves.
They only last a few weeks.
One olive is born for about
20 flowers. Normally the
first flowering only takes
place after about 8 years.
The Olive Tree
has
both a sentimental and
religious significance to
all nations and all
religions. In the Old
Testament, olive oil was
used to anoint prophets and
kings, and to light the
lamps at the temple of
Jerusalem, the house of God.
For nourishment, healing,
cleansing, lighting, and
symbolic purposes, olive oil
was important.
Later in the New
Testament, Jesus Christ was
described as the "Anointed
One" the Messiah, Christians
were called Nozreem or
Masseheen, which in Aramic
and Arabic means anointed
with olive oil.
T he
olive tree was an intricate
part of the life of Jesus.
Jesus spoke of pruning that, there
might be stronger life. He
cuts off every branch in me
that bears no fruit, while
every branch that does bear
fruit he prunes [15:2 The
Greek for prunes also means
cleans.] so that it will be
even more fruitful. --John
15:2. Jesus
would have worked its wood
as a carpenter, eaten of its
fruit for health and
sustenance and experienced
the scent of its anointing
oil. Look into the grain of
its wood and see the olive
tree as Jesus did. In
His Father's act of creation
He presented such beauty for
us all to enjoy. "Is not
this the carpenter, the son
of Mary." Mark 6:3
