Cyprus Wood

Premium Cyprus Wood - The Wood of King David's Harp

This amazing wood is found throughout Isreal in churches, temples, and many other places of interest. Cyprus and has been used for thousands of years in the holy land dating back well past King David. King David used Cyprus as his wood of choice for most his musical instrumpents, particularly for his harps or 'Kinnors'. Much of the older Cyprus came from Lebonon but due to tree shortages and conflicts with supplying countries Cyprus has become a rare commodity. Most of the Cyprus we sell now is imported except on a few rare ocassions where it will come from locally downed trees (we will note this on the website when this is the case). This is a great wood for pen turning, crafts, and just about anything else you wish to craft. It is a medium density wood and delight to work with.
